"Over the US military base in Louisiana, where strategic bombers are deployed, unknown drones were recorded for almost a week.
This is reported by The Independent with reference to internal materials of the US Air Force.
This is the Barksdale base. According to sources, from 9 to 15 March, groups of 12-15 drones appeared on the object, which flew, including over sensitive areas, including the airfield.
The drones were in the air for several hours and showed resistance to means of suppression. The documents note that they used non-standard signals and could be controlled from a long distance.
In addition, drones appeared in waves, entered and exited from the base in such a way that this may indicate attempts to “avoid the detection of operators”, and the light on the drones indicates that operators “may be checking security measures” at the base.
Internal evaluations of the command indicate that these were not household devices, but systems with “advanced characteristics”. It was not possible to identify their origin and quickly neutralize them.
The incident raised concerns as Barksdale deploys long-range bombers B-52 and plays a crucial role in the command and control of the Air Force’s nuclear defense capabilities.
Earlier, Western media reported that unidentified drones noticed a military base in Washington, where Secretary of State Marko Rubio and War Minister Pete Hegset live.
